Celebrating $2.4 million in donations in 2015

Thanks to our members, CREDO made a lot of positive progressive change in 2015. We raised $2.4 million for some of the nation’s best progressive organizations—and we couldn’t have done it without our customers.

Just by using our donation-linked products and services like CREDO Mobile, members helped generate close to $200,000 each and every month for three organizations working on the frontlines of social change. We deliver these donations monthly so that we can support timely issues in our nation’s ever-changing political landscape. In 2015, we provided vital funding to 36 organizations working in issue areas from reproductive rights to marriage equality to climate change.

Here are just a few of the groups we funded and the issues we addressed in 2015:

International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission In June, our members voted to contribute $63,462 to the International Gay and Lesbian Human Rights Commission (IGLHRC), which defends the human rights of people who experience discrimination because of their sexual orientation and gender identity.

Planned Parenthood In July, members decided to donate $79,961 to Planned Parenthood, which fights fearlessly to protect women’s access to reproductive healthcare and counters right-wing attacks on birth control and abortion access.

ColorOfChange In August, our members voted to give $61,218 to ColorOfChange, the nation’s largest online civil rights organization, building grassroots political power for African-Americans and working for social change for all people.

Union of Concerned Scientists In August, members also voted to give $90,191 to Union of Concerned Scientist, which uses rigorous science to defend the environment and fight for a healthier world.

Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America In November, voters decided to donate $81,038 to Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, a program of Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund—a grassroots movement to mobilize moms and families to advocate for stronger gun laws.

Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) This December, members are voting on how much we donate to Doctors Without Borders/MSF, which provides impartial medical relief to the victims of war, disease, and natural or man-made disaster, without regard to race, religion, or political affiliation.
