Tuesday Tips: How to check your voicemail from another phone

Have you ever run late in the morning, dash out of the house to catch the train to work, only to realize you’ve forgotten your cell phone? It happens to the best of us! But just because you’re away from your phone, doesn’t mean you have to miss your voice messages.

It’s easy to retrieve your voice messages from another phone, either mobile phone or landline. Here’s how.

First, you have to know your passcode. If you don’t have that, you won’t be able to retrieve your messages until you are reunited with your phone. But if you do have it, you’re three simple steps from checking your messages:

1. Dial your full 10-digit mobile number
2. Press # to bypass the greeting
3. Follow the prompts and enter your password to retrieve your messages.

I told you it was easy! Now if only remembering your cell phone in the first place was that simple.
