Who we’re funding in May and why

In May, CREDO will donate tens of thousands of dollars each to three amazing progressive nonprofits. You have the opportunity to vote on how CREDO will divide this pool of money.

This month, we’ve chosen three exceptional organizations that work internationally on critical issues such as human rights, health and environmental quality, and women’s rights. Amnesty International USA, Pesticide Action Network North America and Women for Women International all have proven track records of success that make us excited to support them this month.

Amnesty International LogoAmnesty International USA
Amnesty International USA is a global grassroots movement and one of the world’s foremost defenders of human rights. With millions of activists worldwide, Amnesty International works to protect people where justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied.

Amnesty faces crises that require both an emergency response and long-term campaigns that increase respect for human rights around the world. Funding from CREDO will help Amnesty meet these vital needs.

Pesticide Action Network logoPesticide Action Network North America
Pesticide Action Network North America works to create a thriving food system by challenging the global proliferation of pesticides and defending people’s basic rights to health and environmental quality.

Support from CREDO members will help Pesticide Action Network engage in a campaign to urge the president to use executive orders to protect bees from pesticides, and an effort to demand the Justice Department block Dupont’s proposed merger with Dow.

Women for Women International logoWomen for Women International
Women for Women International helps marginalized women in countries affected by war and conflict by offering support, tools and access to the life-changing skills needed to move from crisis and poverty to stability and economic self-sufficiency.

Women for Women International will use CREDO’s contributions to support trainings around the world. In northern Iraq, they will provide social and economic training to refugees while working with men to become allies for women’s rights and social and economic empowerment.

Remember, your vote determines how we’ll distribute vital funding to these groups. Show your support for one, two or all three by voting before May 31.
